• Located directly on Long Street in Cape Town's main party district, expect very loud noise well past midnight from nearby clubs and bars.
• Ornate Victorian building but with maintenance issues including broken tiles, windows, and lights throughout.
• Small rooms with uncomfortable bunk beds; bathrooms have mold on walls and no surfaces for personal items.
• Very social atmosphere with live music shows every few days and a large downstairs lounge, though the hostel allows external visitors which changes the typical backpacker dynamic.
• Tiny kitchen with only 2 stools for all guests; outdoor eating area becomes unusable when raining. WiFi quality reportedly excellent.
