What the reviews say
Solo women consistently highlight the attentive staff on arrival and the ease of dining alone at the restaurant without feeling out of place. The position right at the Sossusvlei gate means the early sunrise dune walk is completely stress-free. The main caveat is bar noise carrying across to the huts on evenings before that early start.
- Located deep in the Namib Desert near Sossusvlei dunes, accessible only by 4WD vehicle or organized tour transfer, not reachable by regular car.
- Traditional African-style thatched huts spread across desert landscape, each individual unit providing complete privacy from other guests.
- Remote desert location means limited connectivity and services, plan accordingly for charging devices and communication needs.
- Direct access to Sossusvlei's famous red sand dunes for sunrise visits without the typical 2-hour drive from other accommodations.
