The read
- What it feels like
- Central Kruger is where the crowds thin out. Olifants camp sits on a cliff above the river with one of the best views in any national park. Satara is open grassland, good for predators.
- Who is around
- Experienced self-drivers, long-stay campers, and wildlife enthusiasts who know what they're looking for.
- On foot
- Same as all of Kruger: no walking outside rest camps. Game drives are done by vehicle on marked roads.
- After dark
- Satara camp has a restaurant and small shop. The bush sounds at night are more pronounced here due to the predator activity in the surrounding plains. Night drives are available with advance booking.
